About This Project

How do you recognize the most motivated, highest-performing, dedicated individuals within your organization and prepare them for leadership roles? It’s the best kind of problem to have, but one that still required a leadership training solution.

As one of the largest privately held agribusiness companies in the U.S., the J.R. Simplot Company needed a program specifically designed to address the needs created by internal recruitment and promotions. You might say they wanted to ‘sow the seeds for future growth’ by empowering top performers with the skills they would need as new leaders in supervisory roles.

Solutions

Working collaboratively with experts at Simplot, AllenComm created a web-based, learner-focused course that targeted known performance issues and built learners’ leadership knowledge and hands-on skills. The course content nurtures a well-rounded self-awareness by giving participants opportunities to take what they learn in the course into their real workplaces with structured leadership challenges that address actual problems and foster meaningful dialogue between team members.

Through self-guided learning, fieldwork, and virtual collaboration, AllenComm’s course gives new leaders the resources, insight, and support they need to improve their technical and leadership skills, ultimately empowering them to succeed in their new roles as supervisors.

Results

After taking the new leadership course, new supervisors were able to:

  • Improve communication and accountability
  • Reduce HR incidents and issues
  • Reduce safety incidents
  • Hone key leadership skills
  • Experience a boost in confidence in their leadership capabilities
